Phoenix: Day 2

My cousin Eric returned to the Valley of the Sun this morning, bringing with him news of a White Christmas back in the ‘Lou. In contrast, it was sunny and in the high 70’s, making for warm, if not white, Christmas. We convened at my aunt and uncle’s house around 1 and promptly cracked open some brewskis and sat down for some family bonding around the Heat – Lakers game. Lunch brought with it a variety of dishes centered around a Honey-Baked Ham. Mmmm, delicious.

After yet another vigorous and closely contested game of dominos, we sat down for a dinner of lunch’s leftovers and then gathered ’round the Christmas tree for the distribution of presents.

But really, the best present of all was us being together at Christmas and sharing the joy of the season with one another.
