This past weekend, Kuma got to go see her favorite person, the “scary man with the needles.” While sitting there in the waiting room, we watched people walk back and forth between the front door and the back room where they keep all the animals available for adoption. In the half an hour that we sat there, no one came out with a new pet. How sad! We were hoping to witness the joyous occasion when someone adopts an animal. Instead, we got to witness Kuma be a spaz. The Humane Society was smart not to put carpet in the waiting room, the less traction a dog has, the easier to drag her away from anything and anyone.
And yes, Kuma DID NOT enjoy having her glands expressed. I didn’t think that dogs could actually look violated. After that episode, I really don’t think she wants to come back next year.
