Easter Weekend, in an Eggshell

This weekend was pretty busy, therefore I’m summing it up in one post. Hopefully, I won’t go into too much detail.

Friday: The Stock Market was closed which meant that our office was closed due to Good Friday. I thought it was kind of weird, considering that the banks and post offices were not closed. I’m not complaining, I’m just stating an observation. So, on my day off, I made plans to see Carrie, who I haven’t seen in months and she had never seen my house. So, she came over, got the tour of the house and fended off our overly-affectionate dog. We then proceeded to the Cheesecake Factory for some lunch and I have decided never to go to the mall again on Good Friday. My goodness, there were so many people there that I actually stooped to stalking for a parking spot, it was that bad. Then to top it off, Bob, Monika and I stopped by Ted Drewe’s (along with everybody else who had gone to the Cardinals game) later that night for some ice cream. Definitely the best way to start off the weekend.

Saturday: Brandon (who is very wonderful) invited Andrew and us to the Cardinals game and we couldn’t turn down such a great offer. This was the first game of the season that we attended and they were great seats! We were in the Redbird Club and so we had to go through this clubhouse to get to our seats, second row in the loge section. The funniest part was that Erin had just flown into town that day to attend the game and I thought I wasn’t going to see her before she flew back to DC. When I found out that I was going to the game, I called her and was able to say hi! We can’t wait to see you again, in Rochester! Afterwards, Bob, Kenny, Krissy and I went to the Par 3 course for a round of golf. I would say that I slightly improved in some areas and definitely did not in others. I really wonder what Bob is thinking as he watched all the rest of us try our hand at golf. It’s got to be hilarious from his point of view.

Sunday: Slept until almost 11 and just hung around the house until we had to go. We went over to Bob’s parents’ house for Easter. Nothing to spectacular, just watched the two kids run around looking for Easter eggs and ate lots of good food. As I look back on this weekend, I’m thinking that I need another weekend to recover. Busy, busy. Hopefully, everyone had a wonderful Easter!
