So since my parents hooked us up with the Wii, we’ve been playing pretty much nonstop. We’ve been telling our friends how much fun it is, and they all pretty much required us to host a Wii Party. We made a list, gathered up a bunch of alcohol and sent out an Evite (much love to Penny Arcade):
Kuma spent the night at her grandma and grandpa’s house (Sheena’s afraid of dogs), so there was less fur underfoot then usual, but there was still much tennis and bowling (and eating and drinking) action taking place. Many of the players had never touched the Wii (lol) before, but all agreed that even a beginner can pick up the Wii and start playing with it like a pro (rofl).
Paul, Krissy, Kenny and Katie playing tennis.
Here’s Kim, Krissy, Paul and Brandon in glorious motion video:
Katie, Beth, Krissy, Sheena and Kim holding down the snack table, guarding the chips.
Leo watching Molly, Paul, Kenny and Yao playing tennis. Don’t worry, Leo gets to play in a few pictures.
But not yet. Note the intensity of Molly’s backhand.
See? I told you Leo would get to play.
Kim, Beth, Jen and Sheena. Note the strange ghostlike apparition in the back corner.
See, the ghost? It’s even bigger there. It’s the ghost of Bratchos!
Kenny (here, about halfway through a bottle of vodka) getting hype about something or other.
This is how Krissy rolls.
Paul looking intently. He’s about to use his unique spinning style to throw a strike. At least, I think it was a strike. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt here, on style points alone. See (a sure strike) for yourself:
Molly, Katie, and Jen pose for the third time, while Kenny, Leo and Brandon mug in the background.
Victory!
Kim, showing off her new endorsement deal, while Krissy and Paul look on, enviously.
Shot Time! A side note: The odd upward angle of this picture is due to Jen’s lack of stature.
How many Eskimos died to make those boots?
You see what happens when you make a bet with Paul in Wii Bowling? Nothing good can come of this!
Brandon, taking Wii Bowling as seriously as he takes real bowling.
Andrew getting dangerously close to the new TV.
Who’s that goober?
Wii tennis rivalry time. This got heated…
OMG!
We finished up with some Wii Golf:
And we carried on until 2:30 in the morning, when the power went out.
Postscript: Kenny, do you remember the recipe for Peach Pits? I think it was 2 part Peach Schnapps, 1 part vodka, 1 part limeade and 1 part Sunkist, but I’m not sure…
Paul and I dominated at tennis. Dominated!! Even knocked out the infamous Bob/Kenny combo.
I don’t remember the recipe, but I don’t remember a lot of things towards the end of the night. I do remember hitting the golf ball and the lights going out, which I believe is the birth of a new golf nickname.
I also just wanted to let Brandon know that I don’t remember playing them in Tennis, so maybe he shouldn’t feel that good about the win.
Yeah, it’s “Lights Out” Kenny on the putting green. I wish I had video of that one. And for the record, there is (sadly) photographic evidence of us losing to Brandon and Paul: the last picture.
Next time I am keeping all party tricks to myself. Jen, why didn’t you keep an eye on me ;)
Although I must say, those boots are awesome!
Kenny, we’ll be happy to play you sober. At Wii Party 2 (Bob, you need to plan this), we’ll start with tennis before the intoxication sets in. BTW, what happend to krissyandkenny.com?
Who would have known that you needed supervision, Krissy? Kenny, yes, definite supervision, you, no. Next time, I’ll stop you from trying to cram Mrs. Butterworth into your mouth. :-)
Bob/Kenny, bring on the rematch!!! I’ll need to do a little bowling first so I can loosen up my arm.
Krissy, you shouldn’t get upset, If I remember correctly, Bob left at least one embarrassing picture out.
Can anyone count how many times Yao appears in these pics…I found 2.
