It’s the New Year…I’m Already Slacking

Happy New Year! I know, it’s a bit late, but better late then never, right? After having a couple of people chide me for not posting lately, here is a summary of what’s happened so for to the Sherron household. Since I last posted, we went up to Chicago for New Year’s Eve to spend with Sam and his family. Sam hosted a little soiree that night so Bob and I got to meet some of his friends. His friend, Jen, can wipe the floor in Guitar Hero, it’s pretty scary. One of his other friends had their baby out until midnight. Bad parents! New Year’s Day was spent wondering around aimlessly in Ikea, the happiest place on earth for Bob. We spent about 4 hours there before finally deciding what to purchase, which included a tall cabinet to help organize the kitchen better and a low bookshelf to sit behind our loveseat for barware/books/knicknacks. Thank you for Bob’s parents for making this possible. We couldn’t have done it without you! Yeah giftcard! On Friday, we went out for a dinner and a show. We had a Maggiano’s giftcard (OMG! LOVE the zucchini sticks!) and Bob’s never been so we braved the 40 shutdown and went down there for dinner. Yummy. Afterwards, WICKED! Holy moly! It totally lived up to the hype. Everyone kept telling us that we would love it, that it was so awesome, it was the best show, etc. I am thrilled that it did not disappoint. I loved the way that it gave background stories to all the little bits in Wizard of Oz, so much fun. And for those who couldn’t see the banner because they chose to sit in the nosebleed section, it said “Congratulotions!” I love going to the Fox! This week consisted of Bob working til the wee hours of the morning and me packing for our trip to Florida and trying to talk myself into being excited about the 1/2 marathon. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it. There you have it, in a nutshell. Not as long as my Christmas post, I didn’t want to bore you.
