I know, I know, I’m a week late. My apologies. Last week’s dishes were another success. You will notice, though, the appetizer and entree are very similar, but still great. So, mental note, do not pair those two dishes together.
Appetizer: Basil & Tomato Feta Bruschetta I don’t know if you can tell yet, but this group is a huge fan of bruschetta, any variety of it.
Entree: Open-Faced Grilled Sirloin and Tomato Sandwiches This was a really easy summer recipe that utilized the grill. And we all know that Bob loves to stand by the grill with a beer in hand.
Side Dish: Spinach Salad with Nectarines and Spicy Pecans I was in a “fruity salad” mood and this one struck my fancy. And it turned out great. I used peaches instead of nectarines and the best part is that I can make spicy pecans just for snacking as well with this recipe.
Dessert: Marinated Berry Fizz This was a fun little dessert. You can also put the fruit on vanilla ice cream.
