Supper Club: August 12, 2009

Appetizer: Pizzette with Gorgonzola, Tomato and Basil. Fabulous little pizza appetizers that are super-easy to make! The only suggestion would be to spray the cookie sheet first, but that’s it.

Entree: Bourbon Chicken. This was a very easy and delicious chicken recipe that you will enjoy. My only problem was that I had too much chicken in my pan so it didn’t really brown and the sauce could have been slightly thicker (I just got too impatient). But it was good, nonetheless.

Side Dish: Warm Sesame Spinach. Straightforward spinach recipe with a little bit of tang due to the the vinegar. And the spinach went well swirled in the bourbon sauce.

Dessert: Oreo Truffles. The recipe called for strawberry milkshake Oreos but Kim went ahead with the chocolate Oreos and mint Oreos. Both were delicious but I was more of a fan of the mint truffle (the chocolate truffle seemed a little too much chocolate for me). I’d be curious on how the strawberry ones would taste now.

  1. A supper club sounds fun. Glad you made the oreo truffles. I’ve made them with the strawberry, mint, and pb. The mint is my favorite though, but I’m a sucker for that chocolate/mint combo. The others were pretty darn good too.
